Title:Importance and development of explosiveness and endurance (strength in repetition) in footballers
Abstract:The purpose of this thesis is to present how strength develops in football players and what the importance of power in playing football is. In the theoretical part, we present power in general, describe the types of power, discuss in-depth the endurance and the explosiveness, show methods of work and some exercises with and without the ball, with which we can achieve the desired progress in the development of power. Through a survey we have established that the results in explosive power do not depend on the position of the player, meaning that players in offensively oriented positions do not have better results in explosive power and players in defensively oriented positions do not have better results in endurance. In addition to the above, we have also established that endurance and short sprint are not statistically significantly related, which means that players with high explosive power do not have high endurance as well. A statistically significant relation was established only between explosive power and short sprint, but also here only partially. A statistically significant relation with the short sprint was shown in the second left foot jump and the second right foot jump, while in other explosive power indicators, i.e. in the first left foot jump, the first right foot jump and both bilateral jumps we did not detect a statistically significant connection.
