Mednarodna skupnost in posamezne države skušajo v zadnjem obdobju to področje urediti pod načelom enakosti in nediskriminacije.

Title:Acces for mobility impaired to events at halls Cankarjev dom
Abstract:The quality of life of an individual depends on many factors. Many of these are the result of one's own decisions, but they are also those that the environment or society puts in front of the individual. The variety of choices available to an individual, be it education, employment, sport or culture, allows an individual to meet their life goals. In doing so, everyone should be equal, have equal opportunities to engage and meet their needs. There is a fairly large group of people in society who, for various reasons, are "different" from the general population and are physically handicapped. This means that many forms of engagement are not available to them under the same conditions, as organizational vagueness and the construction of the environment can be an insurmountable obstacle for them. The international community and individual countries have recently made significant efforts to regulate this area under the principles of equality and non-discrimination. This requires a lot of effort and investment, which pays off with the fact that people with reduced mobility will no longer be so limited in their activities. Since culture is an important factor in the life of an individual, the accessibility of cultural events for people with reduced mobility is the area we represent, both in terms of legal order, the built environment and communication barriers.
Keywords:mobility disorders, equality, non-discrimination, environmental construction, cultural activities
