Title:Integrating environmental aspects into the development of electronic products and devices
Abstract:In the master's thesis, I focused on the issue of environmental pollution, which we have been facing for many years. The research conducted among companies that manufacture electrical and electronic products and/or devices aimed to identify the most important environmental aspects that are taken into consideration in the development of new products and/or devices; the reasons and limitations for considering environmental aspects; and if the sales of environmentally friendly products have increased. For the theoretical part, I used domestic and foreign sources and literature, and for the research part of the thesis, I used a quantitative research method – the survey method. By analyzing the answers, it was found that the most important environmental aspects that the surveyed companies take into consideration in product development are those that will continue to contribute greatly to reducing environmental pollution with such products and/or devices. It was found that the companies decide to consider environmental aspects mainly out of their own interests in contributing to the reduction of pollution and their awareness of the issue; moreover, they are most hindered in this regard by cost-related factors. Finally, it was found that the sales of environmentally oriented products and/or devices have not increased.
