Abstract:	Vedno več vzgojiteljev se vsakodnevno srečuje s stresom, kar lahko vodi do izgorelosti. Razlogi za pojav stresa so različni. Mednje uvrščamo tudi delo z otroki s posebnimi potrebami. V našem diplomskem delu smo med drugim raziskali ali starost pri vzgojiteljih vpliva na zaznavanje stresa in ali stres, ki ga vzgojitelji doživljajo na delovnem mestu vpliva na kvaliteto njihovega dela. Zanimalo nas je tudi, ali vzgojitelji, ki se pri svojem delu pogosteje srečujejo z otroki s posebnimi potrebami, svoje strokovno znanje ocenjujejo višje od vzgojiteljev, ki se z temi otroki srečujejo redkeje. Pomembno se nam zdi, da vzgojitelji dobijo potrebno pomoč s strani nadrejenih, zato smo raziskali, v kolikšni meri vzgojitelji poiščejo pomoč pri nadrejenih. Raziskali smo vzorec 142 vzgojiteljev in jih kvantitativno obdelali. Prišli smo do ugotovitev, da več kot polovica vzgojiteljev vsaj občasno občuti znake stresa, vendar starost pri tem nima vpliva. Ugotovili smo tudi, da vzgojitelji, ki se pri svojem delu pogosteje srečujejo z otroki s posebnimi potrebami, svoje strokovno znanje iz specialne pedagogike ocenjujejo višje. Preseneča nas ugotovitev, da le redki vzgojitelji poiščejo potrebno pomoč pri nadrejenih. Za konec smo prišli do ugotovitve, da polovica anketiranih vzgojiteljev meni, da stres, ki ga doživljajo na delovnem mestu, vpliva na kakovost njihovega dela v vrtcu.

Title:	Stress and burnout in preschool teachers when working with children with special needs
Abstract:	More and more educators are dealing with stress on daily basis, which can lead to a burnout. There are different reasons to why the stress occurs. This includes working with special needs children. In our thesis, we investigated, among other things, whether the age of educators influences the perception of stress and whether the stress experienced by educators in the workplace affects the quality of their work. We were also interested in whether educators who have more frequent contact with special needs children in their work, rate their professional knowledge higher than educators who have less frequent contact with these children. We consider it important that educators get the help they need from their supervisors, so we investigated to what extent they actually do. We sampled a group of 142 educators, surveyed and processed them quantitatively. We found that more than half of the educators’ experience signs of stress at least occasionally, but that age has no influence on the matter. We also found that educators who have more frequent contact with special needs children in their work, rate their expertise in special education higher. We were surprised to find that very few educators seek the necessary help from their superiors. Finally, we found that half of the teachers surveyed feel that the stress they experience affects the quality of their work in kindergarten.
