Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo preučevali pretočni sistem z povratno-zančno regulacijo na demonstracijski napravi GUNT RT-624. Na začetku eksperimentalnega dela smo preverili linearnost ventila glede na vhodni signal. Z določitvijo linearnega območja delovanja smo določili interval, na katerem so meritve ustrezne in relevantne. Z uvedbo stopničaste spremembe smo karakterizirali sistem na obratovalnem območju avtomatskega ventila. Sistem smo regulirali z P, PI in PID regulacijo, katerih nastavitve smo določili grafično z Cohen Coonovo metodo. Nadaljnje eksperimentalno delo smo opravili z uporabo programa Matlab.

Title:Determination of fluid flow control efficiency and optimization of PID controller constants
Abstract:In the thesis, we studied a flow system with feedback-loop control on a GUNT RT-624 demonstrator. At the beginning of the experimental part, we checked the linearity of the valve with respect to the input signal. By defining the linear operating range, we determined the interval in which the measurements are relevant and control efficient. By introducing a step change, we characterised the system over the linear operating range of the automatic valve. The system was controlled by proportional (P), proportional-integral (PI) and proportional-integral differential (PID) control, the settings of which were determined graphically by the Cohen Coon method. Further experimental work was carried out using Matlab. We prepared a simulation module of the experimental setup and tested different types of control as well as different settings of the control constants obtained from empirically developed methods. We observed the response of the system when step changes and disturbance were introduced, and recorded our observations and conclusions on the suitability of the methods to regulate the system under consideration. The objective of the control was to obtain a fast and accurate response with minimum overshoot and, above all, to establish a steady state of the system after reaching a reference value. A disturbance was introduced into the system, which was eliminated by the module by means of feedback control. The ideal system response was attempted by optimising the settings using Simulink. We obtained the parameters that were most appropriate for the system under consideration. The results indicate that the PI controller is the most suitable for the system under consideration, as it provides satisfactory, accurate results and, with appropriate settings of the constants, does not cause signal oscillations.
