Abstract:	Filozofija humorja je področje, ki ga filozofi raziskujejo že od antične Grčije. Ravno bogata zgodovina preučevanja humorja omogoča temeljit vpogled v prepletenost humorja z družbo, moralo, etiko in estetiko ter politično filozofijo. Magistrsko delo je razdeljeno na dva dela, prvi služi kot teoretični uvod v filozofijo humorja in bralcem omogoči razumevanje osnovnih vprašanj, problematik in predlaganih rešitev, tj. tradicionalnih teorij humorja. Drugi del sestavljata analiza in sinteza tradicionalnih teorij humorja v vsesplošno teorijo humorja, ki smo jo poimenovali kar teorija namere – po njeni najbolj prepoznavni lastnosti. Namera igra ključno vlogo pri definiciji humorja in razlikovanju med smešnim in humorjem. Naša najbolj drzna predpostavka je namreč, da smešnost brez namere ni humor. Na ta način tudi striktno ločujemo naključno smešno situacijo od namerno izpeljanega humornega dejanja. Sredica tega magistrskega dela je štiristopenjski model procesiranja humorja, ki ob dodatni razlagi preprosto prikaže humorno dejanje vse od izvorne ideje do ciljnega odziva oz. povratne informacije. Za konec pa še predlagamo štiri maksime za moralno vrednotenje humornega dejanja po teoriji namere. Namen teh maksim je vzpostavitev pojmovne mreže, ki omogoča praktično vrednotenje primerov humorja iz vsakdana, pri tem pa se pomembno opre na namero izvajalca, razmerje med izvajalcem in prejemnikom ter notranjimi in zunanjimi okoliščinami. Teorija namere je nastala kot naravno nadaljevanje uveljavljenih teorij humorja, katerih osnovne gradnike je povezala in prilagodila z namenom, da vzpostavi vsesplošno teorijo humorja, primerno za 21. stoletje in nadaljnji razvoj tega področja.

Title:	Philosophy of humor - intention theory
Abstract:	Philosophy of Humor is an area, that has been researched since Ancient Greece to modern times. The rich history of this research enables a in depth view of the intricacy of humor with society, morals, ethics, aesthetics and finally political philosophy. The master’s thesis is split into two parts, the first one serves as a introduction into humor philosophy and enables the readers a basic understanding of the questions, problems and suggested solutions, eg. Traditional theories of humor. The second part, however, serves as an analysis and synthesis of traditional forms of humor theories into a general theory of humor, which we named intention theory – for the most prominent element of it. Intent(ion) plays a vital role in the definition of humor and the difference between funny and humorous. Our most daring idea is the notion that fun(iness) without intent is not humor. This is how we strictly differentiate between accidentally funny and deliberate or intentionally humorous acts. The heart of the master’s thesis is the four-stage model of humor processing, which, with additional help, explains the humorous act from the starting idea to the reaction or feedback. Finally we propose four maxims for moral judgement of humor acts according to the intention theory. The main reason for the maxims is an establishment of a conceptual network, which enables the practical judgement of humorous acts in everyday life. The theory leans heavily on the performer’s intent, relations between the addressor and the addressee, and finally internal and external circumstances. The intent theory is a natural result of continuity in the established humor theories. Parts of those theories were reevaluated, connected and rearranged into a cohesive general theory of humor appropriate for the 21. century and the basis for further research in this field.
