Abstract:	V zaključnem delu obravnavamo trajnostna načela in njihov vpliv oziroma pomembnosti pri delovanju dveh kulturnih ustanov s katerima smo sodelovali pri našem zaključnem delu – Posavski muzej Brežice in Galerija Božidar Jakac Kostanjevica na Krki. V nalogi predstavljamo trajnostni turizem kot enega od pomembnejših oblik turizma in z njem povezana trajnostna načela na katerih le-ta temelji. Predstavili smo tudi pojem kulturnega turizma, ki se vedno bolj povezuje s trajnostnim poslovanjem kulturnih ustanov, kar smo raziskovali v našem zaključnem delu. S pomočjo raziskave literature na omenjenih področjih smo si zastavili teoretično osnovo naloge s katero smo si pomagali pri raziskovalnem delu. Osnova raziskovalnega dela zaključne naloge so fokusne skupine, ki smo jih izvedli v sodelovanju s Posavskim muzejem Brežice in Galerijo Božidar Jakac Kostanjevica na Krki, kjer smo raziskovali vključevanje trajnostnega turizma oziroma njegovih načel v omenjenih kulturnih ustanovah kot pomemben dejavnik za ohranjanje kulturne dediščine, ki jo predstavljata. Prav tako smo raziskovali njun razvoj na področju trajnosti. S pomočjo opravljene raziskave smo ugotovili, da se Posavski muzej Brežice in Galerija Božidar Jakac Kostanjevica na Krki zavedata pomena trajnosti za ohranjanje dediščine, saj pri svojem delovanju upoštevata vidike trajnosti in uporabljata oziroma se zavedata trajnostnih načel, ki jih opredeljuje trajnostni turizem. Obe omenjeni ustanovi si prizadevata za ohranjanje dediščine in ohranitev stavbe/prostora kjer delujeta za prihodnje generacije obiskovalcev, kar je tudi namen trajnostnega turizma.

Title:	Museums and their involvement in sustainable tourism
Abstract:	In our thesis, we discuss the sustainable principles and their influence and importance on the cultural institution activity. In our thesis, we were collaborating with Posavski museum Brežice and Božidar Jakac art museum. We have presented sustainable tourism as one of the most important subtypes in the field of tourism and the related sustainable principles on which it is based. We also introduced the concept of cultural tourism, which is increasingly being linked to the sustainable business of cultural institutions, which we explored in our final part. Through a literature survey in these areas, we set out the theoretical basis of the thesis to help us in our research work. The basis for the research part of the final thesis are focus groups, which we conducted in cooperation with the Posavski museum Brežice and the Božidar Jakac art museum, where we investigated the integration of sustainable tourism or its principles in the above-mentioned cultural institutions as an important factor for the preservation of the cultural heritage they represent. We have also been exploring their evolution in the field of sustainability. Through the research conducted, we found that the Posavje Museum Brežice and the Božidar Jakac art museum are aware of the importance of sustainability for heritage conservation, as they take sustainability aspects into account in their operations and apply or are aware of the sustainability principles defined by sustainable tourism. Both institutions are committed to preserving their heritage and to preserving the building/space in which they operate for future generations of visitors, which is also the purpose of sustainable tourism.
