Abstract:	Kritično mišljenje je pomembna veščina modernega sveta in ključna veščina sodobnega izobraževanja, katerega težnja naj bili bi vedoželjni, razmišljujoči učenci z željo po učenju in radovednosti. Pričujoče magistrsko delo osvetljuje vlogo in pomen šolske svetovalne službe pri spodbujanju kritičnega mišljenja v osnovnih šolah. Osredotočili smo se na svetovalne delavce podravskih osnovnih šol. Empirično raziskavo smo s pomočjo spletnega anketnega vprašalnika izvedli na vzorcu oseminpetdesetih svetovalnih delavcev. Osredotočili smo se na samooceno kritičnega mišljenja med svetovalnimi delavci, pomen, ki ga pripisujejo izobraževanjem in izpopolnjevanjem o kritičnem mišljenju, načine vključevanja kritičnega mišljenja v delo svetovalnih delavcev in področja dela preko katerih posredno ali neposredno vključujejo kritično mišljenje. Raziskava je pokazala, da ne obstajajo razlike pri vključevanju kritičnega mišljenja v pedagoške dejavnosti svetovalnih delavcev in izobraževanjih svetovalnih delavcev o kritičnem mišljenju, glede na njihove delovne izkušnje. Nasprotno pa smo ugotovili obstoj razlik v lastnih izobraževanjih svetovalnih delavcev o kritičnem mišljenju, glede na vključevanje kritičnega mišljenja pri učencih. Odkrili smo nekatere srednje močne povezanosti med dejavnostmi namenjenimi lastnemu razvijanju kritičnega mišljenja in načini vključevanja kritičnega mišljenja v delo svetovalnih delavcev. Prav tako smo odkrili nekatere srednje močne povezanosti med področji dela, preko katerih svetovalni delavci spodbujajo kritično mišljenje, in pogostostjo vključevanja kritičnega mišljenja v pedagoške dejavnosti.

Title:	The role and importance of school counseling in promoting critical thinking in primary school
Abstract:	Critical thinking is an important skill in the modern world and a key skill in modern education, the aspiration of which should be to produce curious, thinking students with a desire to learn. The present master’s thesis highlights the role and importance of school counselling services in promoting critical thinking in primary schools. We focused our research on counsellors working in primary schools in the Podravje region. The empirical research was conducted with the help of an on-line questionnaire on a sample of fifty-eight school counsellors. We focused on self-assessment of critical thinking among the counsellors, the importance they attribute to critical thinking education and training, ways of integrating critical thinking into their work, and areas of their work in which they directly or indirectly include critical thinking. The research showed that, according to their work experience, there is no difference between the inclusion of critical thinking in the pedagogical activities of counsellors and the counsellors’ training on critical thinking. In contrast, we found the existence of differences in the counsellors’ own training on critical thinking, compared to the inclusion of critical thinking with the students. We found some moderately strong links between activities designed to develop critical thinking and the ways that critical thinking was being integrated into the counsellors’ work. We also found some moderately strong correlations between the areas of work through which counsellors encourage critical thinking and the frequency of including critical thinking in pedagogical activities.
