Abstract:Emisije toplogrednih plinov in globalno segrevanje spadata med največje probleme 21. stoletja.

Title:The effect of subsidies on electric vehicle sales (Slovenia-foreign countries)
Abstract:Emissions of greenhouse gases and global climate change are among the biggest issues on earth; especially environmental pollution caused by emissions in the transportation area. As a solution to these issues, many countries are implementing policies to transition to zero-emission vehicles such as electric cars. Electric vehicles demonstrate as a good solution but some hesitations from customers when buying electric vehicles are present. To address this problem governments around the world, offer various benefits when buying electric vehicles, such as tax reduction and government subsidies to its citizens. The purpose of this thesis was to review the electric vehicles market and to investigate if there is a correlation between the size of subsidy and electric vehicles sales. Our hypothesis was that there is a direct correlation between the parameters, the higher the subsidy, the bigger the car sales. Data of 10 countries were included in this study–3 countries from Asia, Europe, and United States. Two key inclusion criteria were the size of vehicle market and electric vehicles sales shares. Data for Slovenia were also included in the study. In countries with the biggest electric vehicles sales numbers the system of subsidies is the most developed and efficient. The findings of this review show that subsidies have a certain influence on electric vehicles sales, but the effect is small. Our review shows there are other factors that also have a positive influence on electric vehicles sales.
