Najpogosteje izbrane tehnike so bile naslednje: druženje s prijatelji/družino, poslušanje glasbe, druženje z živalmi, izvajanje raznih športnih aktivnosti in uporaba metode vizualizacije. Študentje redkeje uporabljajo tehnike, kot so prekomerno hranjenje, igranje iger na srečo, pitje alkoholih pijač in uživanje tobačnih izdelkov.

Title:Analysis of stress among undergraduate college students during the exam period
Abstract:Stress can be defined as a kind of plague of modern times, which is increasingly prevalent among students. This is a problem that students face daily because they often set themselves up under too much pressure from society. University obligations, such as exams and assignments, awake a feeling of anxiety, panic, and weakness in a person. People must not close their eyes to the truth. Instead, they must face the problem because early detection of symptoms is essential for the successful management of stress. If stress is present for a longer time and if management is largely unsuccessful, this can lead to serious detrimental consequences for the human body. Consequences are most often manifested in the form of depression, burnout, exhaustion, and also as a mental disorder or psychosomatic illness. The thesis focuses largely on the level of stress perceived by students during the exam periods, the discovery of major stressors, and ways and techniques of stress management. The goal of the research is to make students aware of the seriousness of the effects of stress on their mental health and the importance of using stress relief techniques with the help of which, they can discover another or the positive side of stress and reverse it in your favor. The issue of stress at students during the exam period is presented in the theoretical part of the thesis that provides an in-depth look at how stress arises, what causes it, and how it affects students' performance. In the empirical part, with the help of a questionnaire, there was data collected on the level of stress, the main stressors, the consequences of stress, and the ways of managing stress among undergraduate students during the exam period. The analysis of the survey shows that more than 73 % of the students feel very strong stress during the exam period. The main cause of stress is the factor of two exams in one day followed by too much study material and a lack of free time. Stress affects students in such a way that they often feel exhausted. They are disorganized and, consequently, they lack the motivation to complete their studies. They have poorer control over their emotions and have frequent outbursts of anger. The analysis of the survey showed that students overcome stress with various relaxation techniques. The most frequently chosen techniques are spending time with friends/family, listening to music, spending time with animals, performing sports activities, and using the visualization method. Students are less likely to use techniques, such as overeating, gambling, drinking alcohol, and using tobacco products.
