Abstract:V diplomski nalogi obravnavamo vpliv destinacijske znamke na prepoznavnost turistične destinacije. V zadnjem poglavju teoretičnega dela predstavimo načine oglaševanja destinacijskih znamk in analiziramo nekaj primerov vplivov destinacijskih znamk na prepoznavnost turistične destinacije s pomočjo družbenih omrežij. V empiričnem delu sledi analiza destinacijskih znamk, ki smo jo pripravili s pomočjo anketiranja in intervjuja z go. mag.

Title:The impact of a destination brand on tourism destination recognition
Abstract:In this diploma thesis, we discuss the influence of the destination brand on the recognition of a tourism destination. In the theoretical part, we illuminate in theory the characteristics of tourism destinations, and the strategic aspect of destination marketing, which should help understand the concept of a destination brand. In addition, we define the content of a destination brand and name some examples of Slovene and international destination brands. In the last chapter of the theoretical part, we present some possible ways of advertising destination brands. We analyze the influence of some chosen destination brands on the recognition of a tourism destination through social networks. In the empirical part, we show a short analysis of two chosen destination brands, which we performed through a survey and an interview with Ms. Livija Kovač Kostantinovič, M.Sc. from the Slovenian Tourist Board. The conversation deepened our understanding of the "I feel Slovenia" brand, and helped us better compare the Slovene destination brand with the New Zealand’s brand. Through the survey, we obtained data on the recognition of destination brands and found out which advertising channels tourists use most often when deciding to visit a destination. Additionally, we analyzed the positioning of the Hoče-Slivnica municipality, and competed a SWOT analysis for the same. We prepared a concrete proposal for a new destination brand "Hočem doživeti Hoče"(I wish to experience Hoče) including social media marketing methods and potential tourist products.
