Abstract:V poskusu smo testirali herbicidni učinek biostimulatorja na rastlinski podlagi – Stopeco® (organsko gnojilo z rastlinskimi izvlečki) in primerjali učinek različnih odmerkov pripravkov na podlagi snovi glifosat, pelargonske kisline, ocetne kisline in olja agrumov na različnih lokacijah po Sloveniji v vinogradih, sadovnjakih in na njivi, spomladi leta 2022.

Title:Testing the Herbicidal Effect of a Biostimulator on a Plant Base
Abstract:In the experiment, we tested the herbicidal effect of the plant-based biostimulator Stopeco® (organic fertilizer with plant extracts) and compared the effects of different glyphosate based preparation dosages, pelargonic acid, acetic acid and citrus oil at different locations in Slovenia in vineyards, orchards and on fields in the spring of 2022. The purpose of the experiment was to prove that the use of the Stopeco® preparation can serve as an alternative method of weed control. Testing the herbicidal effect was carried out in two stages. In the first application, lower doses of the Stopeco® preparation were used and a statistically lower efficiency than the preparation based on the substance glyphosate was found, while the treatments with the higher dosages indicated a statistically higher or equal efficiency than the other considered alternative preparations. The herbicidal effect of the Stopeco® preparation ranged from 15 to 50 % on the entire weed population of a single treatment for many tested weeds. In the second application, higher doses of the Stopeco® preparation were tested and results of total weed control efficiency between 60 and 90 % were obtained, which can almost be compared to the efficiency of the preparation based on glyphosate. The herbicidal effect of the Stopeco® is higher at higher doses and the control efficiency is better on broad-leaved weeds than on narrow-leaved weeds. According to the results, the use of Stopeco® presents one of the potential alternative options for weed control.
