Title:Selecting transport way for vehicle distribution from east to west Europe
Abstract:In this dissertation, we researched different types of transport, and later focused on the types of transport that are suitable for transporting cars. For each method we researched, we present the most recognizable features of transport, and we immerse ourselves into transport across Europe, as the topic of the thesis relates to the transport of cars across Europe. In the second part of the dissertation, where the issue is the correct choice of transport for transporting 10,000 Škoda Enyaq iV cars from the Škoda Mlada Boleslav factory in the Czech Republic to Barcelona in Spain, we focused on the production of the cars and three possible transport problems. In the dissertation we compared the costs for different types of transport, distance, and determined which route is the fastest in time. In the above case, where we transported 10,000 cars, we chose the best method of transport for a given situation according to price, quantity and time. In this dissertation we conclude that when it is necessary to bring cars in large quantities at once, the optimal solution is transport by rail. When it is necessary to bring cars in the shortest time, the optimal solution is road transport. When we have no special requirements and restrictions, the optimal solution is the cheapest form of transport, which in our case is a combination of transport by rail and sea.
