Abstract:Finančna vključenost je dokaj neznan pojem v vsakdanjem življenju.

Title:Youth financial inclusion
Abstract:Financial inclusion is a fairly unknown concept in everyday life. However, it is not so unimportant, that it can be just overlooked. That is why in the diploma work we listed some definitions of financial inclusion, which are similar to each other, but each adds its own element. First, we focused on financial inclusion in general. We presented its purpose, the method of measurement and how financial inclusion can be accelerated, where we see that both the public and private sectors are important for this. We then investigated the impact of COVID-19 on financial inclusion and found, that the use of digital financial services increased due to the restriction of social contacts and the closure of branches. As important as the concept of financial inclusion is, so is the concept of financial exclusion and how to reduce the percentage of financially excluded people. In the continuation of the work, we focused on the financial inclusion of young people between the ages of 15 and 24. Here we have focused on the obstacles that appear in the financial inclusion of young people. We briefly described the state of financial inclusion, ways to improve it and the impact of the pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has not only affected the financial inclusion of people in general, but has particularly affected vulnerable groups, including young people. Finally, we presented the most common reasons for the financial exclusion of young people. In the empirical work, we examined the financial inclusion of young people in Slovenia, Sweden, Denmark and Norway with the help of selected criteria. These criteria are a bank accounts, savings for old age, savings at a financial institution, saving money in the past year, using the network to pay bills in the past year, using the network to pay bills in the past year, using the network to shop online in the past year, borrowing at a financial institution, borrowing from family or friends, borrowing money in the past year, accessing the account using a mobile phone or the network, and making a digital payment in the past year. So, we found that we classify all four countries as high-income economies and therefore, in general, there are no large differences in financial inclusion.
