Title:Accepting of comparable systems to Social Credit System
Abstract:With the development of technology, various forms of control are developed, which would not be possible without development of technology. Despite the fact that the Social Credit System that is developing in China is a widely discussed topic in the community, there is a lack of research on point of view towards the system itself. Due to the lack of research in this area, we decided to check for ourselves what the attitudes of Slovenians are towards a control system that is comparable to the Social Credit System. We called the the comparable system the "trust register", and in the research we checked several different factors and measured their influence on attitudes towards the system. We conducted the research via the social network Facebook, where we shared the survey in 69 groups and obtained n=153 valid answers, which we later processed statistically and arrived at answers that showed us that Slovenians are contradictory in their perception of privacy and various forms of surveillance. And despite being aware of the risks that come with surveillance, we are ready to give up some privacy if in exchange we receive benefits that will improve our quality of life.
