Abstract:V magistrskem delu smo preučevali problematiko upravljanja in obvladovanja gibanja zdravstvenih delavcev med pandemijo nalezljive bolezni.

Title:Management and control of the movement of healthcare professionals during a pandemic
Abstract:In this Master’s thesis we have examined the issues of management and control of healthcare professionals’ movement during the pandemic of infectious disease. The movement restriction measures under Slovenian legislation consist of isolation and quarantine. In the theoretical part of the thesis, we have presented a list of infectious diseases important for the country and transmission routes, as well as measures for the prevention of the spread. We have also presented the challenges that decision makers had to face during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the empirical part, we have carried out a survey in order to ascertain if during the COVID-19 pandemic healthcare professionals abode by the recommendations for prevention of the spread and where the healthcare workers mostly got infected. Additionally, our intention was to find out which of the two movement restriction measures was decreed to the interviewees, and if there was a responsible person who would take care of passing relevant information related to COVID-19 and movement restrictions. We have discovered that the vast majority of the healthcare workers was in touch with an infected person. Nevertheless, almost half of them lists that none of the movement restriction measures was decreed to them. More than half of the interviewees lists that they got infected with coronavirus in their workplace. In the future, it should be investigated which measures would reduce the number of isolations and quarantines that were decreed to the healthcare workers and if the employees know the difference between isolation and quarantine, as well as the according behaviour in case of the ordered measure. In the field of management and control of healthcare workers’ movement during pandemic, there is still plenty of space for systematic solutions that would aid in a more successful and efficient goal fulfilment, which we want to achieve with the mentioned measure.
