Abstract:Informacijska varnost je dandanes vpeta v vsak del našega življenja.

Title:Information security awareness in Police directorate Ljubljana
Abstract:Information security is embeded in every part of our lives nowadays. Many people consider information security only as a part of an organization, but it has been shown that is it important in the business and private lives alike. Every work process in which a person is involved is pretty much specified and defined, but this is not necessarily the case once we look at the area of information communication technology (ICT). Since the human being is the weakest link in most aspects of operation, much more emphasis is needed in the area of information security. In the diploma thesis, through a survey, we got an insight into the awareness of information security in the Ljubljana Police Administration. The survey was linked to six sections, which were linked to the knowledge and knowing about information security, the knowledge about passwords, the awareness about internet usage, the usage of e-mail and the awareness about protection of confidential (protected) police data. We confirmed two hypotheses regarding good knowledge and awareness about the information security and a good awareness level about confidential data protection and refuted one hypothesis that there is a difference in information security awareness between the police administration and police stations.
