Abstract:V magistrskem delu so predstavljene osnove komuniciranja in pojem okvirjanja novic, v okviru katerega smo preučili podobne raziskave iz drugih držav.

Title:News framing in slovenian media
Abstract:The master's thesis presents the basics of communication and the concept of news framing in Slovenian online media, in the context of which we examined similar researches from other countries. Other important basics of journalism are also defined, such as impartiality, objectivity, journalistic ethics, morality, etc. In the second part of the master's thesis, we answered the research questions by analysing selected articles of high-profile events, whether the selected Slovenian media (rtvslo.si, 24ur.com and Nova24TV.si) use news framing and to what extent, and whether the Slovenian online media report impartially. The analysis of selected articles and the online survey found that the articles generally do not contain the interpretation of journalists. The sensationalist approach to reporting, the interpretations of journalists, as well as bias are present to a large extent, especially in the media Nova24TV. It was found difficult to define how the Slovenian public perceives the reporting of Slovenian online media. We have found that all the discussed media use framing of the news and that some degree of bias is expressed by all the media.
