Abstract:Spolno nasilje in nasilje na podlagi spola je danes eden največjih humanitarnih izzivov.

Title:Zakonodaja in praksa v Republiki Severni Makedoniji skozi prizmo Istanbulske konvencije o preprečevanju in boju proti nasilju nad ženskami in nasilju v družini
Abstract:Sexual and gender-based violence is one of the greatest humanitarian challenges today. It appears in different forms and in different situations and contexts all over the world. Sexual and gender-based violence is not a problem related only to disasters and conflicts. Intimate partner violence is one of the most common types of sexual and gender-based violence, with assaults, threats, neglect and rape occurring in homes and other places where people should be safe. Human trafficking, early marriages and forced prostitution are also forms of sexual and gender-based violence like other forms of sexual and gender-based violence, they occur during disasters and emergencies but are not directly related to them and can occur anytime, anywhere. Sexual and gender-based violence leaves deep scars on survivors, families and communities, as well as secondary survivors of sexual and gender-based violence. This is a widespread problem with serious emotional and social consequences, affecting the long recovery process leading to long-term stress, health complications, disability and even death. Therefore, effective implementation of already existing policies and practices is needed, as well as the development of new mechanisms that will lead to the protection and prevention of violence against women.
