Patofiziologija bolezni vključuje komponente prirojenega in prilagoditvenega imunskega sistema, genetike ter okolja. Namen zaključnega dela je bil, raziskati, kako odrasle osebe z luskavico zaznavajo kakovost življenja. Metode: Izvedli smo narativni pregled s področja luskavica in kakovosti življenja odrasle osebe. Literaturo na raziskovalno tematiko smo iskali v PubMed, Cinahl, Science Direct. Uporabili smo opisno metodo dela. Članke smo razvrstili glede na hierarhijo znanstvenih dokazov. Rezultati: V analizo smo vključili osem raziskav.

Title:Psoriasis and the quality of life of an adult
Abstract:Introduction: Psoriasis is a non-contagious chronic inflammatory disease with many negative effects on quality of life. The pathophysiology of the disease involves components of the innate and adaptive immune system, genetics and the environment. The aim of this thesis was to investigate how adults with psoriasis experience quality of life. Methods: We conducted a narrative review in the field of psoriasis and adult quality of life. Literature on the research topic was searched in PubMed, Cinahl, Science Direct. We used the descriptive method of work. We classified the articles according to the hierarchy of scientific evidence. Results: We included eight studies in the analysis. Based on a review of the research, we found that psoriasis has a significant impact on the quality of life of adults, with consequences for their daily lives. Discussion and conclusion: We have found that psoriasis has a negative impact on the quality of life of the individual, which in turn imposes a significant financial burden and worsens the psychological state of the individual. There is a need to raise awareness about the disease and its symptoms, which would help to improve the quality of life of a person with psoriasis.
