Abstract:	RETORIKA VELIKIH TURISTIČNIH PRIREDITEV: Analiza začetnega in zaključnega govora na poletnih olimpijskih igrah 2012 v Londonu Retorika je veščina, ki bi jo na tako veliki turistični prireditvi, kot so olimpijske igre, moral obvladati sleherni govorec. Njen pomen za vse, ki delajo v turizmu, pa tudi pomen ustreznega komuniciranja, moči besed in argumentov smo predstavili z analizo govorov predsednika olimpijskega organizacijskega odbora Sebastiana Coea. V začetnem in zaključnem govoru olimpijskih iger smo z besedno in diskurzivno analizo analizirali uporabo besed in sredstev za nadgradnjo govora, analizirali pa smo tudi govorico telesa in obraza govorca. Ugotovili smo, da sta oba govora zelo domoljubna, poudarjena je narodna zavest in pripadnost. Govorec je kot nekdanji športnik in olimpijski zmagovalec z dogodkom zelo povezan, zato je govor zelo oseben. Oba govora sta kratka, ne vsebujeta daljših fraz, ampak več manjših. Besede, ki se pojavijo v začetnem in zaključnem govoru so skrbno izbrane in sporočajo govorčevo pripadnost državi, mestu in športu, kar govorec pokaže z večkratno omembo Londona. V obeh govorih smo odkrili veliko okrasnih pridevkov in rabo retoričnih sredstev, dve najpogostejši sta trditev in silogizem. Analiza je pokazala tudi nekaj retoričnih figur, kot je naštevanje ali enumeracija in je prav tako tudi nagovor ali apostrofa, saj so v občinstvu ugledni predstavniki države, kar zahteva tudi obvezen protokol.

Title:	Rhetorics of great tourist events; the analysis of the initial and final speech of the 2012 summer olympic games in London : diplomsko delo univerzitetnega študija
Abstract:	RHETORICS OF GREAT TOURIST EVENTS; The Analysis of the Initial an Final Speech of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London Rhetoric is a skill that every speaker should master at such large tourist event as the Olympic Games. We presented its importance for everyone who works in tourism, as well as the importance of appropriate communication, the power of words and arguments, by analyzing the speeches of the president of the Olympic organizing committee, Sebastian Coe. In the initial and final speech of the Olympic Games, we used verbal and discursive analysis to analyze the use of words and means to enhance the speech, and we also analyzed the body and face language of the speaker. We found out, that both speeches are very patriotic, emphasizing national consciousness and belonging. As a former athlete and Olympic winner, the speaker is very connected to the event, so the speech is very personal. Both speeches are short, they do not contain long phrases, but several smaller ones. The words that appear in the opening and closing speeches are carefully chosen and speaks of the speaker's affiliation to the country, city and sport, which shows by repeatedly mentioning London. In both speeches we discovered a lot of decorative adjectives and the use of rhetorical devices, the two most common being assertion and syllogism. The analysis also showed some rhetorical figures, such as enumeration and it is also an address or apostrophe, since there are prominent representatives of the country in the audience, which is also required by mandatory protocol.
