V empiričnem delu so predstavljeni rezultati in njihova interpretacija raziskave o mnenju staršev o vplivu epidemije in z njo povezanih omejitev na telesno aktivnost otrok.

Title:Parents' opinion on the impact of the pandemic and related restrictions on children's physical activity
Abstract:The purpose of the thesis was to investigate in more detail the opinion of parents about the impact of the closure of kindergartens due to the epidemic and on the children's motor skills. The thesis consists of theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part presents motor development and the new disease Covid-19. The stages of gross motor skill development, factors of motor development, the effects of motor skill activities on motor development, the role of the family and kindergarten in motor skill development and the emergence of the new disease Covid-19 are presented in more detail. The empirical part presents the results and their interpretation of the research on parents' opinions about the impact of the epidemic and related restrictions on children's physical activity. 247 parents of preschool children from different regions of Slovenia participated in the research. The obtained data unexpectedly revealed that, according to the parents, the period of the epidemic did not adversely affect the children's motor status. During the epidemic, parents and their children devoted more time to physical activities and spending time outdoors than before the epidemic. Most of the time, this activity was of low intensity. Future research should focus on determining the appropriateness of parent-selected physical activity for motor development.
