Title:Impact of the war in Ukraine on the lives of the inhabitants of the Republic of Slovenia
Abstract:The Russian invasion of Ukraine officially started on 24 February 2022 and has a global impact, with economic, social and political fields. The crisis caused by the war in Ukraine will be felt both in Slovenia and elsewhere in the world, because the Russia-Ukraine war threatens the global economy, increases uncertainty on financial markets and makes life more difficult. The consequences of the war in Ukraine will be felt by all the people of the world, which is why we have focused our master's thesis on the impact of the war in Ukraine on the lives of the people of the Republic of Slovenia. The purpose of the master thesis is to present and define the crisis and its dimensions in detail, to get acquainted with the beginnings of the war in Ukraine and its course, and to examine the impact of the war in Ukraine from an economic and psychological point of view. In the following, we tried to find out, through our own research, how the war in Ukraine affects the quality of life of the population of the Republic of Slovenia and whether they are aware of the seriousness of the consequences of the war in Ukraine. We found that the war in Ukraine affects all fields of the quality of life of the population of the Republic of Slovenia, with the financial status being the most affected, followed by health, social security, the environment in which they live, and the least affected by work/employment. We also found that all residents of the Republic of Slovenia, regardless of age, are aware of the seriousness of the consequences of the war in Ukraine.
