V vzorec so bili vključeni le recenzirani strokovni in akademski članki, ki so sovpadali s sledečimi vključitvenimi kriteriji; ključne iskalne besedne zveze: »cognitive training«, »eeg«, »electroencephalography« in v slovenskem jeziku: »kognitivni trening«, »eeg«, »elektroencefalografija«.

Title:Measuring the efficiency of cognitive training using EEG methods
Abstract:Cognitive training has been increasingly mentioned in recent years as one of the interventions to improve cognitive abilities, but its effects on brain structure and function are not yet fully understood. This master's thesis is a systematic review of literature examining the measurement of cognitive training effectiveness using EEG methods. Specialized academic scientific studies available in electronic databases such as Cobiss, EMERALD, PubMed, ProQuest, and IOS Press were used as research instruments. Only peer-reviewed academic articles that matched the following inclusion criteria were included in the sample: key search phrases "cognitive training," "eeg," "electroencephalography," and their Slovenian equivalents "kognitivni trening," "eeg," "elektroencefalografija." Restrictive criteria included the period from 2010 to 2021, and the languages of Slovenian and English. The review included 24 studies with a total of 1,159 participants aged 4.8 to 78.9 years, comprising healthy and cognitively impaired populations, as well as highly heterogeneous methodological approaches. Most studies report changes in neurophysiological parameters driven by cognitive training. Reports on near transfer are promising, but additional studies are needed for solid evidence. The master's thesis defines relevant studies and adds value by combining and evaluating their results using scientific methodology.
