Title:Spiritualna oskrba staršev ob izgubi novorojenčka

Abstract:Uvod: Žalovanje je težek proces za vsakega posameznika, posebej pa za starše, ko izgubijo otroka, saj smrt otroka pred starši ni naravna. Ob izgubi in v procesu žalovanja je spiritualna oskrba zelo pomembna. V zaključnem delu želimo predstaviti, kakšno spiritualno oskrbo nuditi staršem ob izgubi novorojenčka. Metode: Izvedli smo integrativni pregled raziskav na temo spiritualne oskrbe staršev ob izgubi novorojenčka. Raziskave smo iskali v različnih podatkovnih bazah, ki so CINAHL, PubMed, SAGE in Web of Science. Iskanje je potekalo januarja 2023, uporabili pa smo deskriptivno metodo analize. Rezultati: Izmed 297 raziskav smo jih v sintezo vključili šest, ki ustrezajo iskanim kriterijem. Vključene raziskave so nastale med letoma 2005 in 2022. Glavna tema je spiritualna oskrba staršev ob izgubi novorojenčka. Sekundarne podteme so spiritualna podpora, katere primarni podtemi sta spiritualne potrebe in smisel življenja; podpora sistema s primarnima podtemama komunikacija/podpora in podporno zdravstveno okolje; podpora okolja s primarnima podtemama odnos s partnerjem in odnos s svojci; soočanje z izgubo s primarnima podtemama obtoževanje in spoprijemanje. Razprava in zaključek: Spiritualna oskrba tako s strani zdravstvenih delavcev kot tudi družbe na splošno je pomembna. Že empatičen pogovor s starši in poslušanje staršev v taki situaciji pomenita ogromno. Smrt novorojenčka pusti velike travme in nenehno bolečino, prav zato bi bilo treba na temo spiritualnosti izvesti več raziskav in o njej poučiti zdravstvene delavce, saj tako lahko pomagamo žalujočim posameznikom na globlji ravni.

Title:Spiritual care of the parents who have lost a newborn
Abstract:Introduction: Grieving is a difficult process for anyone, but especially for parents when they lose a child, because the death of a child before the parents is unnatural. During a loss and the grieving process, spiritual care is very important. In the final part of the project, we explored what kind of spiritual care should be offered to parents at the loss of a newborn. Methods: We conducted an integrative review of research on the topic of spiritual care for parents at the loss of a newborn. We searched databases, including CINAHL, PubMed, SAGE, and Web of Science. The search was conducted in January 2023; we used a descriptive method of analysis. Results: Of 297 studies, we included six that met the criteria. The included studies were conducted between 2005 and 2022. All research findings were coded and obtained the main theme, secondary subthemes, and primary subthemes were identified. The main theme is spiritual care for parents at the loss of a newborn, with four secondary subthemes, each of which has two primary subthemes. The secondary subthemes are spiritual support, whose primary subthemes are spiritual needs and the meaning of life; system support, with the primary subthemes of communication and support and supportive health environment; environment support, with the primary subthemes of relationship with partner and relationship with family; and the last one that is about coping with loss, with the primary subthemes of blaming and dealing. Discussion and conclusion: Spiritual care by medical professionals as well as by society in general is important. Just talking and listening to parents in this situation means a great deal. The death of a newborn baby leaves trauma and lasting pain. Therefore, more research should be done on spirituality, and health professionals should be trained in this area so that we can help people on a deeper level.
