Breiviku so diagnosticirali disocialno osebnostno motnjo in narcistično osebnostno motnjo.

Title:Anders Behring Breivik - attack in Norway
Abstract:In the master's thesis, we studied the case of Anders Behring Breivik with the help of articles and literature. Breivik carried out two terrorist attacks in Norway in 2011. In the attack in Oslo, seven people died, and in the attack on the island Utoya, 77 people were killed. In the thesis, Breivik's childhood and life are described. The relationship with his mother is crucial for understanding his later actions. Then the course of both attacks is described. In the next chapter, the trial and the psychiatric evaluations are presented. During the trial, Breivik presented his ideology, written on 1500 pages long manifesto. In conversations with different experts and on trial, he did not show any remorse for his actions. Breivik was diagnosed with a dissocial personality disorder and a narcissistic personal disorder. Thus, the narcissistic personal disorder is described, the criteria for its diagnosis and its impact on individual's violence. The experts also concluded that Breivik has Asperger's syndrome. The Asperger's syndrome and criteria for its diagnosis are described. Because of his failures and inability to integrate into different social groups he started playing videogames and completely isolated himself from people. In the chapter about videogames, we described the impact of playing videogames on individual's violence. In the conclusion of the thesis, we answered the hypotheses. We found out that an individual cannot train himself to become a sociopath because causes of antisocial personality disorder come from trauma in childhood or is genetically determined. Regarding the question whether a narcissistic personality disorder can affect an individual's violence, we out that the disorder itself does not mean that the person will be violent, but in connection with other factors like stress or rejection, it can lead to violence. Despite the general believe that playing violent videogames causes violence, studies have shown that other factors like age of the player, his social status, mental status, time of playing and others should be taken into consideration.
