Title:Business process redesign in a transport company
Abstract:Today's businesses compete in extremely competitive markets and must take advantage of every opportunity that arises to stay competitive and survive. The thesis focuses on the significance of business processes and business process management. The research underscores that business processes are fundamental to achieving successful business operations. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the most crucial concepts related to business processes, business process management, and business process redesign. We used the theoretical part as a foundation for an extensive analysis of the business processes of the transportation company. The research includes an analysis of the existing business processes of the transportation company, identifying their strengths, weaknesses, and potential challenges. Based on this, improvements were designed and proposed, which are described together with the effects they will have. The research findings demonstrate that business process redesign is crucial to optimizing the operations of the transportation company. The implementation of the proposed improvements would contribute to heightened efficiency, cost reduction, improved service quality, and enable efficient and competitive business operations of the company.
