Abstract:Uvod: Odzivnost na presejalne programe za zgodnje odkrivanje predrakavih sprememb in raka na debelem črevesu in danki je zelo nizka, čeprav obstajajo jasni dokazi o njihovi učinkovitosti. Namen zaključnega dela je predstaviti intervencije za izboljšanje odzivnosti na presejalne programe za odkrivanje predrakavih sprememb in raka na debelem črevesu in danki. Metode: Pri pisanju zaključnega dela smo izvedli pregled literature v mednarodnih podatkovnih bazah PubMed, ScienceDirect in CINAHL. Pregled in izbiro raziskav smo prikazali z diagramom PRISMA.

Title:Response to screening programmes for early detection of precancerous changes and colorectal cancer
Abstract:Introduction: The response rate to screening programmes for the early detection of precancerous changes and colorectal cancer is very low although there is clear evidence of their effectiveness. The bachelor's thesis aims to present interventions to improve response rates to screening for precancerous changes and colorectal cancer. Methods: When writing the bachelor's thesis, we conducted a review of the literature in the international databases PubMed, ScienceDirect, and CINAHL. The review and selection of studies were illustrated by a PRISMA diagram. The synthesis of data synthesis was shown by utilizing content analysis. Results: Of the 174 identified hits, 14 were included in the final analysis. We found that various interventions, such as the use of fecal immunochemical tests, sending stool tests (FIT, gFOBT) to the home, telephone counseling, sending advance notifications, reminders, multifaceted invitations, and educating people, were effective in improving response rates to colorectal cancer screening. On the other hand, the addition of various financial incentives and feces collection paper did not improve the participation rates in colorectal cancer screening. Discussion and conclusion: The most effective and cost-effective interventions that could be implemented to improve response rates to colorectal cancer screening would be the interventions of sending stool tests (FIT) and advance notifications and reminders to the home. These interventions also had the greatest impact on increasing participation among the least responsive groups of invitees.
