Title:Purchasing process in the company ACO, d. o. o.
Abstract:In the thesis we studied the role of purchasing as a part of the business process and presented it on the example of ACO, d.o.o., a Slovenian subsidiary that belongs to the ACO Group network of companies. Due to the ever-increasing changes in the market and the ever-faster development of information technology purchasing in the company has become more important than ever before in recent decades especially because of its impact on profits. In companies, we encounter a network of various business functions, and purchasing represents one of the basic business functions. Its task is to provide suitable goods from the best suppliers in the right quantity at the right time to the right place and with suitable payment terms. Since companies differ from one another, there is not only one appropriate purchasing process, but purchasing processes in companies generally follow a fixed order. The company has cash tied up in its supplies, so it is in the company's interest to organize supplies as optimally and sensibly as possible to keep storage costs as low as possible and to avoid possible material obsolescence. In the thesis we were interested in how the purchasing business is conducted in the mentioned company. We have found that the company's supplies organization is based on many years of experience, and based on this they know which goods are in circulation the most, so they make sure that these goods are on supply in larger quantities, while others are supplied as needed.
