Abstract:Podjetja morajo zagotavljati kakovost izdelkov in storitev. Primer tega so letalski prevozniki v Evropski uniji, ki zagotavljajo kakovostne in varne storitve z upoštevanjem regulacij EASA (angl. European Union Aviation Safety Agency). Zahteve v letalstvu so do določene mere komplementarne zahtevam standarda SIST EN ISO 9001:2015.

Title:The comparative analysis of SIST EN ISO 9001:2015 requirements with the requirements in aviation
Abstract:Companies must ensure the quality of products and services. SIST EN ISO 9001:2015 is one of the standards for quality management, focusing on the performance and efficiency of the quality management system and can be applied in any industry. In aviation, airlines ensure quality and safety by adhering to aviation requirements, with a focus on safety. An example of this is airlines in the European Union, which provide quality and safe services by complying with the regulations of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The purpose of this thesis is to conduct a comparative analysis between the requirements of the SIST EN ISO 9001:2015 standard and the requirements applicable in the aviation industry (such as EASA). The thesis is based on the concept of continuous quality improvement. Initially, we thoroughly reviewed the literature and then conducted a comparative analysis between the SIST EN ISO 9001:2015 quality system and aviation requirements to answer the research questions. In our research, we found that ISO 9001:2015 and EASA are different sets of standards with different purposes and objectives. Key differences lie in the scope and application area, legal validity of certification methods, precision, and emphasis on safety. Aviation requirements are to some extent complementary to the requirements of the SIST EN ISO 9001:2015 standard. Aviation requirements are specific to the industry and designed to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance in the aviation industry, while the SIST EN ISO 9001:2015 standard specifies general requirements for a quality management system. One element of aviation requirements that could be transferred to SIST ISO EN 9001:2015 is a safety-oriented approach. Safety also encompasses risks. Including risk control within the framework of SIST ISO EN 9001:2015 would emphasize the importance of identifying and managing risks to achieve quality outcomes and products. We also found that companies certified by EASA do not necessarily need to be certified for SIST EN ISO 9001:2015. Certain airlines have implemented specific ISO standards. Maintenance departments of airlines are most often certified with the SIST EN ISO 9001:2015 standard. Although airlines certified by EASA do not necessarily require certification for SIST EN ISO 9001:2015, having an ISO 9001 certificate would be an advantage and added value in acquiring new partners or customers.
