Title:Influence of digitalization on forms of employment among youth
Abstract:Digitalization has changed the way we live, work and organise ourselves. The aim of this thesis was to investigate how digitalization has affected students at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in the field of work. It also aims to find out whether or not students want scholarships and why. The survey was conducted among undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences at the University of Maribor. The data was collected by means of a survey questionnaire. The first aim of the thesis was to investigate how students feel about digitalization in their work. This objective was achieved, as we learned that the answers differed mainly depending on the field of study the respondents attended at the time of the survey. This also relates to the second objective, where we wanted to find out the differences between students' opinions according to their course of study. Students in HR saw digitalisation as a threat, while students in engineering and IT were more optimistic about it, while at the same time being aware of the threat posed by technological advances. The final objective was to find out what students thought about corporate scholarships. Students were mostly unfamiliar or partially familiar with the concept. The vast majority of students do not receive corporate scholarships during their studies. To improve the labour market situation for young people, it is important that they are aware of the changes that technology brings. It is essential for them to accept these developments as a positive reality and to prepare for them before they enter the labour market. Keeping pace with change and innovation is important, not to be afraid of it, but to embrace it and face it head on.
