Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo raziskali skladiščno poslovanje v izbranem podjetju. V prvem delu diplomskega dela smo obravnavali izbrano podjetje in povzeli teorijo skladiščenja. Opisali smo kako v podjetju poteka postopek sprejema in uskladiščenja gotovih proizvodov v skladišče in nazadnje, kako poteka manipulacija ter odprema gotovih proizvodov.

Title:Design of pallet storage racks for finished products
Abstract:In the diploma work, we investigated warehouse operations in a company. In the first part, we discussed the selected company and summarized the theoretical storage process. We analyzed the purpose of storage, storage processes and the transport and storage equipment used to carry out the storage process. In the continuation of the thesis, we discussed the current state of the company’s warehouse operations. We have described how the process of receiving and storing finished products in the warehouse takes place in the company and finally, how the manipulation and dispatch of finished products takes place. We analyzed the problem of inefficient warehousing process using a cause and effect diagram. We highlighted the main challenge of manipulation and the lack of space for storing finished products. As a proposed solution to the problem of storing finished products, we proposed the remake of the existing pallet storage racks for more efficient storage and the introduction of additional storage equipment. We made a comparison of the existing stock of the warehouse and the state after the implementation of the solution. When specifying the rack windows in the proposed solution, we found that the number of pallet places increased by 48 pallets, which made it possible to store all finished products.
