Abstract:Uvod: Migreno imenujemo nevidna nadloga, ki lahko popolnoma onesposobi osebe – najpogosteje so to osebe ženskega spola.

Title:Impact of migraine on quality of life among women
Abstract:Introduction: Migraine is an invisible affliction that can altogether disable people who suffer from it. Most often, they are women. The impact of migraine attacks on all aspects of life is still not well understood. The purpose of the final work is to investigate how migraine affects the quality of life in women. Methods: We conducted a literature review. We used international databases CINAHL, PubMed, Cochrane Library and ScienceDirect to search for professional and scientific literature. The literature search was shown in the PRISMA diagram. Content analysis was used to synthesize the collected research articles. Results: We included ten articles that met the selected inclusion criteria in the literature analysis. Women with migraine have significantly lower total quality of life scores and physical and psychological health than the rest. Patients are physically weak after migraine attacks, which can disrupt their daily routines. Severe headaches and accompanying health problems caused by migraine can interfere with regular physical activity at home and work. Discussion and conclusion: Migraine is still not accepted to its full extent in the patient's social circles and is considered an excuse to interrupt social and work obligations. It is recommended that health-care providers and the public need to be further educated regarding migraines.
