Abstract:Sredi prejšnjega stoletja so nova odkritja na področju polprevodniške tehnike proizvajalce komponent vozil vzpodbudila k razvoju elektronskih sklopov, ki bi omogočali udobnejšo, učinkovitejšo, ekonomičnejšo in varnejšo rabo vozil. Ukrep predstavlja velik izziv proizvajalcem vozil in komponent k nadaljnjemu tehnološkemu razvoju elektronskih sklopov in digitalizaciji.

Title:Retrieving data from electronic systems of the road vehicles
Abstract:In the middle of the last century, new discoveries in the field of semiconductor technology encouraged vehicle component manufacturers to develop electronic assemblies that would enable better, more efficient, more economical and safer use of vehicles. This year marks exactly 60 years since adoption of California's Clean Air Act, one of the most important historical milestones in limiting road vehicle exhaust emissions, and which led to the rapid introduction of electronic engine control systems in vehicles. This year, a lot of dust was raised by the European Commission's decision to ban the first registration of passenger and light commercial vehicles that emit carbon dioxide - a greenhouse gas - in the atmosphere in 2035, with the aim of protecting the environment. The measure represents a major challenge to manufacturers of vehicles and components to further technological development of electronic assemblies and digitalisation. Both historical milestones and years of development have brought numerous electronic systems, which in modern vehicles take care of a wide variety of important functions. The operation of electronic vehicle systems is based on digital input - output data, part of which is also used for diagnostic purposes. Subject to certain conditions, the diagnostic data can also be used as an aid in the analysis of the mechanisms of occurrence of claims in the insurance industry. With the research, we found out how users who deal with valuations and the investigation of car damage in the insurance industry perceive diagnostic data, and what the data promises in terms of directing the analysis of the mechanisms and circumstances of damage occurrence. We found that their expectations are realistic and that the introduction of data capture from electronic systems can effectively help to solve insurance cases.
