Title:Green logistics and sustainable mobility in transport
Abstract:The progress of the current modern society is the result of important events throughout history. One of the more important events was certainly the development of modern means of transport, which became a vital part of our lives. Consequently, mobility and transport, have deeply ingrained in our way of living, ranging from the daily commute to the transport of goods within and beyond borders. As mobility provides us many benefits, society should also take care of the future of our planet and of future generations. However, we have neglected this aspect and forgotten about the environment in the likes of greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution, etc. Therefore, nature is retaliating on a global scale with devastating climate consequences. Because of that, society has begun to adopt more sustainable means of transport, both for people and for goods, but the desired level of sustainable mobility that would re-establish clean and stable environment is far from being reached. Precisely this is the problem addressed in the thesis – what is the current state of use of sustainable and “green” means of transport and what awaits us in the transport sector. In the theoretical part we described the concept of green logistics, sustainable mobility and the analysis of the current state of means of transport. In the practical part, we evaluated the hypotheses with the help of articles and various analyses. It was for this purpose that we spent a lot of time searching for quality, scientific and verified articles that allowed us to conclude the thesis.
