Izvedli smo pregled, analizo in sintezo znanstvene literature. Iskanje je bilo opravljeno v podatkovnih bazah: CINAHL, PubMed in Web of Science.

Title:Patient experiences after discharge from psychiatric treatment
Abstract:The transition between hospitalization and discharge to a home or social environment is often a vulnerable period, during which additional mental health problems can be expected. The period after discharge from psychiatric care can be stressful and emotional for the individual and is of great importance for the continuation of a normal rhythm in social and other environments and situations. The purpose of our research is to determine the experiences of patients after discharge from psychiatric treatment. We conducted a narrative review, analysis and synthesis of scientific and professional literature. The search was performed in the following databases: CINAHL, PubMed and Web of Science. We used the PRISMA flow diagram to display the literature selection. The data was analyzed using thematic data analysis. Five articles that matched our search criteria and provided an answer to our research question were included in the final analysis. It was found that patients' experiences following discharge from psychiatric care are crucial for developing interventions and activities that facilitate a smoother and better transition into daily life. Patients' experiences serve as valuable guidelines for implementing changes in mental health care. These experiences represent measurable determinants that shape the directions for improving mental health treatment methods and implementing new ones. Involving external professional services, including actively engaging close individuals in the patient's life, enhances their post-discharge experience from psychiatric care.
