Abstract:V magistrskem delu predstavljam življenje in delo dunajskega skladatelja, organista, cerkvenega glasbenika, dirigenta, pedagoga in improvizatorja Petra Planyavskega.

Title:Peter Planyavsky and Analysis of his Compositions Toccata alla Rumba and Vier Stücke für die Trompetenuhr
Abstract:In my master's thesis, I present life and work of the Viennese composer, organist, church musician, conductor, music teacher and improviser Peter Planyavsky. As a composer, he largely devoted himself to organ compositions, but he also wrote numerous works for choir, orchestra, chamber ensemble, as well as various arrangements, especially liturgical works. His oeuvre is systematically listed in the master's thesis. Planyavsky is recognizable for his characteristic humor, which he also adds to his compositions as is presented in the analysis of his music pieces Toccata alla Rumba and Vier Stücke für die Trompetenuhr. Toccata alla Rumba, written in 1971 for organ, is slightly more demanding in terms of performance, therefore my contribution is in one of the chapters regarding the guidelines for rehearsing and performing. The musical composition Vier Stücke für die Trompetenuhr, which was written in 1985 for organ, is actually a music cycle of four parodistic pieces with a prescribed unusual registration with reeds, to which I devote considerable attention in my thesis.
