Abstract:
Športni turizem postaja vse bolj priljubljen in se zato hitro razvija. V diplomskem delu smo analizirali ponudbo športnega turizma v občini Maribor. Povzeli smo opredelitve športnega turizma in opredelili, kaj vse spada v to skupino turistične ponudbe. Predstavili smo najbolj udarne športne prireditve v občini Maribor in predstavili objekte, ki so primerni za uporabo v športnem turizmu na območju MOM. Raziskali smo tudi ponudnike športa v občini Maribor in nabor njihove ponudbe. Analizirali smo podatke Zavoda za turizem in podatke, pridobljene od izbranih ponudnikov nastanitev za športnike v občini Maribor. O poznavanju športnega turizma v Mariboru smo izvedli anketo med naključnimi prebivalci mestne občine Maribor, sodelovalo jih je 60. Odgovore smo analizirali in jih grafično predstavili. Na podlagi pridobljenih informacij in podatkov smo napisali predloge za izboljšanje športno turistične ponudbe v Mestni občini Maribor.

Title:
Analysis of development possibilities for sport tourism in the municipality of Maribor
Abstract:
Sports tourism is becoming more and more popular and is increasingly developing. In the diploma thesis, we analysed the offer of sports tourism in the Municipality of Maribor. We summarized the definitions of sports tourism and what belongs to this group. We presented the most striking sports events taking place in Maribor. We summarized and presented the facilities that are suitable for use in sports tourism in the Municipality of Maribor area. We researched sports providers in the Municipality of Maribor and what they offer. We analysed the data of the Tourism Office and all the data we obtained from the providers of accommodation for athletes in the Municipality of Maribor. We conducted a survey among the residents of the Municipality of Maribor on the knowledge of sports tourism in Maribor. Sixty residents of the Municipality of Maribor participated in the survey. We analysed all the responses and presented them graphically. With the help of this data, we summarized the range of sports tourism products in Maribor. Based on all this information and data, we created proposals for improving sports tourism in the Municipality of Maribor.
