Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo raziskovali vpliv travmatičnih dogodkov iz otroštva na razvoj prestopniškega vedenja.

Title:The impact of childhood trauma on delinquent behaviour
Abstract:In the thesis, we researched the impact of childhood traumatic events on the development of delinquent behavior. Childhood traumas have negative effects that manifest in various forms. The primary consequence is typically the development of delinquent behavior. The purpose of the thesis is to determine the role of childhood traumatic events in the development of delinquent behavior and how they differ by gender. We used a descriptive research method, conducting a literature review. We utilized both Slovenian and English literature related to our topic. The results indicate that childhood traumatic events influence the development of delinquent behavior and that there are gender differences. Differences are especially noticeable in the types of trauma and subsequently in delinquent behavior. Childhood abuse has a significant impact on adolescents. Differences were found between males and females, reflected in different forms of delinquent behavior. Adolescents who experienced physical or sexual abuse exhibit delinquent behavior such as the abuse of psychoactive substances, the use of aggression to solve problems, violence within their families, and sexual delinquency, especially among those who were sexually abused as children. In contrast, female adolescents who experienced trauma show symptoms of victimization and the abuse of psychoactive substances.
