Title:Wind strength and direction measurement with the use of a drone
Abstract:I this thesis we present different methods of measuring wind that are commonly used in hot air ballooning. We develop two new methods that utilize a drone. First one takes measurements with a help of a parachute while the second one analyses the pitch and roll of the hovering drone. We also choose metrics to evaluate different wind measuring methods and compare the results of our measurements.
