Abstract:Elektroenergetski trg se spreminja, proizvodni viri električne energije postajajo vse bolj decentralizirani, uporaba fosilnih goriv se zmanjšuje in bo postala z leti postopoma nična. Skušali smo prikazati, kaj dejansko pomeni zaprtje termoelektrarne, obveznosti lastnika in posledice za lokalno okolje, socialne partnerje in druge deležnike v prostoru.

Title:Development possibilities for the location when thermal power plant was closing
Abstract:The electricity market is changing, electricity production sources are becoming more decentralised, the use of fossil fuels is decreasing and will shut down in the coming decades. On the other hand, the procedures for the location of new energy sites are increasingly complicated and constrained. In the task we described the practical case of a company in an energy location where electricity production from domestic brown coal was carried out for more than 40 years. Even if it comes to renewable sources, which have been doubling annually in recent years on a global scale, this is still not a sufficient reason that energy will be very accessible in the future, and above all we know that energy sector will meet green transition. We have tried to show what the closure of the thermal power plant means, the obligations of the owner and the consequences for the local environment. We have learned that the liquidation of a company which has several facilities with environmental effects and consequently implements post-closure measures is not identical to the liquidation of a company that provided certain services on the market. Therefore, the owner's decision to preserve the energy site was in place. Given the company's path to climate neutrality and compliance with environmental commitments, in the last part of the task we dealt with the development options of the site, which was based on aim of the transition for electricity system and the production sources of electricity.
