Abstract:PVM je pomemben škodljivec jagodičastega sadja. Veliko ekonomsko škodo povzroča predvsem v nasadih ameriških borovnic in malin.

Title:Effectiveness of different exclusion netting systems for controlling fruit flies (drosophila suzukii) in highbush blueberry (vaccinium corymbosum) and raspberry (rubus idaeus) production
Abstract:The fruit fly is an impactful pest of the berry fruit. It causes significant economic damage, especially in blueberry and raspberry plantations. In 2023, an experiment was carried out in the experimental orchard of the Infrastructure Centre of the Institute of Agriculture at Brdo pri Lukovici, in order to monitor the impact of the antinsect net on the fruit borer infestation in blueberry and raspberry plantations. The experiment was carried out using baits for catching fruit flies, which were placed between American blueberry bushes protected by an antinsect net and raspberries in the open air. Baits were rotated at 5-8 day intervals and the number of PVMs was counted in the samples and separated according to sex. We also conducted two incubation trials on raspberry and blueberry fruits in which we counted the number of hatched fruit flies after 14 days of incubation. The results show, that lateral netting is a good way to prevent the occurrence of the grapevine fruit fly in blueberry and raspberry plantations.
Keywords:spotted wing drosophilla, highbush blueberry, raspberries, insect nets.
