Razprava in zaključek: Signifikantnih razlik nismo ugotavljali. Ugotavljali nismo tudi večje obremenjenosti in izpostavljenosti prašnim delcem. Na opazovanem območju in času ugotavljamo 58 dni povišanih vrednosti PM10 z vključenim dvodnevnim zamikom. Minimalna dosežena vrednost PM10 je znašala 3,6 µg/m3, maksimalna pa 140,8 µg/m3.

Title:Influence of airborne PM10 pollutants on treatment of patients in the emergency department
Abstract:Introduction: Air quality is crucial for human health all over the world. The burden of air pollution also affects the deterioration of health, especially in environments where the impact of industrialization is increasing and the number of vehicle is increasing. The purpose of the final work is to investigate the connections between air pollution with PM10 particles and increased visits of patients in one of the emergency centers in Slovenia, and thereby determine the impact on the health of individuals. Methods: When preparing the final work, we used quantitative methodology. We conducted a retrospective study, where we used the descriptive method of work in. The research took place in one of the emergency centers in Slovenia, where we also collected data on the values of PM10 particles from 4 surrounding measurement sites. Obtained data were analyzed and processed using the computer program IBM SPSS 22.0. Results: During the review and analysis of the data, we did not observe a statistically significant difference in any of the hypotheses that would prove the impact of PM10 particles on human health. We observe a trend with elevated PM10 particles on average more patients per day and more hospitalizations, more deaths and more patients with asthma. We found that the average value of PM10 particles in 2020 and 2021 was 19.03 µg/m3. Discussion and conclusion: We did not find any significant differences. We also did not find any significant load and exposure to dust particles. In the observed area and time, we note 58 days of elevated PM10 values, including a 2-day delay. The minimum achieved value of PM10 was 3.6 µg/m3, and the maximum was 140.8 µg/m3.
