Znanstvene članke smo iskali po podatkovnih bazah: PubMed, CINAHL, SAGE in Web of Science. Postopek izbire uporabljene literature smo prikazali s pomočjo diagrama PRISMA.

Title:Spiritual care of patients with cancer at the end of life
Abstract:Introduction: Acquaintance with the diagnosis of an incurable form of cancer arouses negative feelings in the patient, which can develop into suffering. With the help of spiritual care, we can help the patient resolve these feelings and enable him to deal with death easily. The purpose of the final work is to determine how the implementation of spiritual interventions affects the quality of life of a cancer patient at the end of life. Methods: In the final analysis, we used the literature review method. We searched for scientific articles in the following databases: PubMed, CINAHL, SAGE, and Web of Science. The literature selection process was shown with the help of the PRISMA diagram. We analyzed and synthesized the selected articles and presented the results using a descriptive method. Results: Out of 538 articles, we included seven studies in the final analysis. In the included research, we set three main topics: feelings of the dying patient, assessment of spiritual needs, and spiritual interventions. We found that the assessment of spiritual needs, the use of spiritual care, and the use of spiritual techniques positively affect a better quality of life. Discussion and conclusion: We found that spiritual care for dying cancer patients should be introduced more into healthcare, as patients see the meaning and purpose of life, reconsider their life values, and come to terms with death so that they can die with dignity and peace.
