Nedonošenčki so novorojenčki, rojeni pred 37. tednom gestacijske starosti. Znanstveno literaturo smo iskali v naslednjih tujih podatkovnih bazah: PubMed, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Cochrane Library in Science Direct.

Title:The influence of brain bleeding in premature infants on cognitive development in later age periods
Abstract:Premature birth is the most important determinant of adverse outcomes in terms of survival, quality of life, psychosocial and emotional impact on the family. Premature babies are newborns, born before the 37th week of gestational age. The purpose of the thesis is to investigate, based on a review of the literature, how cerebral hemorrhage in premature infants affects cognitive development. In the final part of the thesis, we used a descriptive method of work. Scientific literature was searched in the following foreign databases: PubMed, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Cochrane Library and Science Direct. We also used Google Scholar. All articles that met our criteria were displayed using table evaluation. We included 9 studies in the final analysis. We found that children who suffered intracranial bleeding at birth have developmental problems that are visible during development. All of the included studies showed that cerebral bleeding in a premature baby has a negative impact on cognitive development. It depends on the size and degree of bleeding.Based on the review of the literature, we can say that the field is researched, but there is a lack of research that would specifically define different cognitive problems as a result of cerebral bleeding.
