Spoznali smo nove informacije o različnih pristopih k vodenju, komunikaciji in motivaciji zaposlenih.

Title:Leadership styles, culture and business customs - comparison of Slovenia and USA
Abstract:We delved into different management styles both in Slovenia and in the USA. We learned new information about different approaches to management, communication and employee motivation. We also closely examined and compared the cultures of the two countries, including their business customs. Our findings show that the USA and Slovenia are similar in many respects, but also have some differences. For example, we observed different styles of leadership, whereby the autocratic style of leadership is more widespread in Slovenia, while in the USA they are more in favor of a democratic approach. Differences can also be seen in the way of communication, where in the USA the measure is on effective communication to achieve goals, while in Slovenia there is more usefulness on the personal aspect of communication. The American company focuses more on adapting motivational systems to the individual needs of employees and encourages greater individualization, while in Slovenia, motivational systems are more often focused on general standards and rules. The organizational culture in the USA is more open, innovative and agile compared to Slovenian companies, which are often more hierarchical and traditional. In terms of business customs, it can be seen that such neat business clothes are present in both countries, but there are still differences in the way of greeting and use of names and shouting and ticking. Our smaller size separates us from the achievements seen in larger countries. To achieve greater competitiveness, we should increase innovation, digitization, education and global presence. although this is a challenge, even small steps can contribute to greater success and recognition. In our assignment, we have also added a table for comparison, which covers all theoretically discussed aspects. This chart could be useful for anyone preparing for a business trip to the US, as they can learn what to expect in that market. although we are similar, being ready to cooperate with foreign business partners is the key to success.
