Title:Overview of the current development of fuel cell cars and hydrogen fueling stations
Abstract:In our thesis, we focused on an overview of the current development of fuel cell electric cars and related charging infrastructure. We presented the problem of environmental pollution due to transport, described ways of producing hydrogen, and explained how fuel cell technology works. We also provided some examples of scientific articles in which authors researched how society accepts the introduction of fuel cell electric vehicles and charging stations for hydrogen vehicles. In the practical part of the thesis, we showed the number of electric fuel cell cars and charging stations for hydrogen vehicles in 2017 and 2022, namely for the countries of the European Union, the United States of America, Japan, South Korea and China, we compared the characteristics of fuel cell electric cars and batery electric cars and fuel consumption costs for both vehicles per 100 kilometers. We have presented some examples of subsidies, and incentives, that the countries introduce, to encourage the purchase of fuel cell electric cars. Through research we concluded, that South Korea had the largest increase in fuel cell electric cars among the compared countries, however, China had the largest increase in charging stations. The main advantage of the chosen fuel cell electric car compared to battery electric car is a longer range and faster charging. The most common state incentives include tax reductions, subsidies, etc.
