V podatkovnih bazah Cinahl, Scopus in Pub med smo poiskali literaturo in ta proces prikazali v diagramu PRISMA. Rezultate smo prikazali v vsebinski in evalvacijski tabeli.

Title:The effect of pronation on improving oxygenation in a mechanically ventilated patient
Abstract:The Covid-19 epidemic has contributed to more frequent use of mechanical ventilation both in the world and in Slovenia. Because of this, the problems that arise in its use have come to light. One of the strategies that is known as an advanced treatment and should lead to consistent improvement in oxygenation is pronated mechanical ventilation. The purpose of this work was to investigate the influence of pronation on the improvement of oxygenation in a patient on mechanical ventilation. In this thesis, we used a descriptive method, more precisely the literature review method. We searched for literature in Cinahl, Scopus and Pub med databases and showed this process in a PRISMA diagram. We arranged the selected articles according to the hierarchy of evidence and presented them using an evaluation table. 13 articles were included in the final analysis. The results were presented in content and evaluation tables. The results of the selected articles show that the improvement of oxygenation can be influenced by time of pronation, the patient's illness and the simultaneous use of other treatment methods. Prone position has a positive effect on oxygenation during mechanical ventilation. Prone position can help improve oxygenation in patients with ARDS, with and without Covid-19, in intubated and non-intubated patients.
