Dejavniki so interpretacija znamenitosti s strani turističnega vodnika, predhodno poznavanje destinacije, pričakovanje prijetne izkušnje in razdalja od kraja bivanja do destinacije.

Title:The Appearance of Flow in the Tourist Experience
Abstract:The thesis focuses on the psychological state called flow, specifically the phenomenon of flow in the tourist experience. Flow is a motivational factor that facilitates engagement in tourism activities and promotes a deep sense of satisfaction and is therefore an important aspect of the tourist experience. In the theoretical part of the thesis, a review of the literature on flow and its study in tourism research was carried out. The factors that are hypothesized to influence flow are identified. The factors are the interpretation of the attraction by the tourist guide, prior knowledge of the destination, the expectation of a pleasant experience and the distance from the place of residence to the destination. In the empirical part, a questionnaire was used to find out whether these factors increase flow. The questionnaire was distributed to domestic and foreign tourists in the destination of Maribor. It was found that the tourist guidance had an impact on only a few of the flow indicators, but not on overall or most of the indicators. For seven out of nine dimensions of the flow, a correlation with familiarity with the destination was found, indicating that there is a higher chance of experiencing flow if one knows the destination before visiting. No statistically significant association was found between the dependent variables and distance. It was also found that tourists with higher expectations also experience greater flow. The findings of the study can help the tourism industry in product design.
