Abstract:Uvod: Poporodna depresija spada med najpogostejše zaplete v poporodnem obdobju ženske. Metode: Za potrebe izdelave zaključnega dela smo v podatkovnih bazah PubMed, CINAHL Ultimate, Cochrane Library in ScienceDirect poiskali relevantne raziskave. Potek iskanja raziskav smo predstavili v obliki PRISMA diagrama. Sintezo zbranih virov smo naredili s pomočjo uporabe vsebinske analize.

Title:Suicidal behaviour in women with postnatal depression
Abstract:Introduction: Postnatal depression is one of the most common complications in a woman's postnatal period. The main cause of suicidal thoughts and suicidal behaviour is the presence of depression. This thesis aims to investigate the association between postnatal depression and suicidal behaviour based on the literature. Methods: For the purpose of this thesis, we searched PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, ScienceDirect databases for relevant research. The process of research search was presented in the PRISMA diagram. The descriptive method of work was used for data analysis. The articles are presented in an evaluation table and rated based on the hierarchy of evidence. The synthesis of the collected sources was done using content analysis. Results: The final analysis included nine articles, which showed that postnatal depression is one of the main causes of suicidal behaviour in women in the postpartum period. Suicidal behaviour occurred frequently in women with postnatal depression. Discussion and conclusion: Suicidal behaviour is strongly associated with postnatal depression in women. Women often express their distress through self-injurious behaviour. In practice, recognizing the signs of depression and suicidal behaviour is crucial, as women almost never seek help on their own. Postnatal depression is a challenge for every health worker, as it is experienced and expressed differently by each person.
